Dornier Museum

Everyone can be a pioneer - the history of one of the most innovative companies in Germany can be experienced up close on approx. 5,000 sqm exhibition and 25,000 sqm park area.

Located at the Friedrichshafen airport, the museum brings 100 years of fascinating aviation and aerospace history to life. The extraordinary architecture accommodates almost 400 exhibits on 5000 sqm, including 12 original aircrafts, one original helicopter and 7 full size exhibits from space travel. Authenic replicas such as the first passenger aircraft of the Luft Hansa AG, the Dornier Merkur or the legendary flying boat, Dornier Wal N25, make the visit an unforgettable experience for the whole familiy.

Opening hours
Summer (May to October) daily from 9 am – 5 pm,
every Thursday until 8 pm

Winter (November to April) 10 am – 5 pm (closed Mondays)*,
every 1st Thursday until 8 pm (from March 2018)

*On public holidays as well as in school holidays in Baden-Württemberg the museum opens on Mondays from 10 am - 5 pm.
On December 24th, 25th and 31th the museum is closed.
On January 1st the museum opens from 10 am - 5 pm.
